About the event
The introductory course focuses on providing a foundational understanding of the theory of Neuro-Developmental Stimulation (NDS), its concepts, and the proper identification of disorders resulting from the persistence of primary reflexes or poor integration of sensory organ functions. Participants will also be introduced to basic tests for persistent primary reflexes.
This course is particularly recommended for (special) educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, yoga instructors, and parents.
Course Content:
Introduction to NDS and its basic principles
Everything is interconnected – primary reflexes, sensory integration, psychomotor development, learning, behavior, and concentration
Risk factors for the persistence of primary reflexes
The importance of movement in the first year of life, supporting psychomotor development, and preventing the persistence of primary reflexes
The effects of persistent primary reflexes on learning, behavior, and concentration
Sensory-sensitive integration – what it is
Hypersensitivity and hyposensitivity to sensory perceptions
Identifying the roots of difficulties – how to recognize persistent primary reflexes through a child’s behavior and movements
Understanding creates space for respect and trust
