About the event
Lecture Overview:
Neuro-Developmental Stimulation in Addressing Oral Dysfunction
This lecture focuses on the role of primary reflexes in early development, particularly their impact on oral functions such as sucking, swallowing, and speech. We will highlight the most important reflexes related to orofacial motor skills, explain their role in the first year of life, and discuss the consequences if they persist beyond the expected timeframe.
The session will include simple tests to identify retained reflexes and practical recommendations for addressing these issues through Neuro-Developmental Stimulation (NDS). There will also be time for questions and discussion at the end.
