18. Week
This week we're going to do completely different exercises than last week. First, as promised, we're going to play bank robbers! For this activity, we will need some sort of stick or broom handle. Next, we will continue with cross movements, but this time to the beat of the song "Beating the Drum". Of course, we will also focus on graphomotor skills and visual perception. We will also relax with the activity "cat ears".
Let's do it!
Video, download and description of exercises
Files:
The bank robber
The activity involves the child crawling beneath a rod or a broom handle, but with a catch: they must do it without touching the rod. It's like a game where the child takes on the role of a thief trying to crawl beneath laser beams of a security system without triggering any alarms.
Goal:
Improve the child's coordination,
Improve balance
Improve spatial awareness.
Beating the drum
The child makes cross movements when walking, i.e. every time he lifts his right leg he touches (beats) his knee with his left hand and when he lifts his left leg he touches (beats) his left knee with his right hand. Sing a song you like to make the movements in its rhythm.
Goal:
Improve coordination of movement
Improve cooperation of the brain hemispheres
Improve the sense of rhythm.
Ears like a cat
Have the child sit or lay on the ground (or in bed).
Then he/she rubs his palms together energetically to generate warmth and energy.
Then, the child places their hands gently on their ears, feeling the warmth and energy flow into them.
Goal:
Enhance ear function
Improve focus
Promote relaxation.
Colour the same
Each day you can colour one attachment. Try as carefully as possible, also pay attention to the proper pencil grip.
Goal:
Improve hand-eye coordination
Improve graphomotor skills
Improve visual perception and concentration (focus).
It’s raining
Use the attachment. This time we will draw vertical lines to the rhythm of the song "Rain rain go away". We'll draw one line for each word.
Rain rain go away.
Come again another day.
Little Johnny wants to play.
Rain rain go to Spain
Come back another day again.
Goal:
Improve graphomotor skills,
Improve hand-eye coordination
Enhance the sense of rhythm.
Great! Well done. I'll come up with some different challenges for next week. Why don't we try throwing a ball? I look forward to seeing you next week!
